It was a sunny California day, and I had one extra ticket for Let’s Make a Deal. So I called my best friend Abdul to join me. We’re both Wayne Brady fans so he jumped at the invite. To get picked, we knew we needed a good storyline. After a quick brainstorm, we went with long-lost siblings. We said we found each other on Facebook and met for the first time at Let’s Make a Deal. Producers ate our story up. One hour after our interview. We were both on stage standing next to Wayne Brady himself. I wish I could say I knew it was coming, but I was shocked when he called our name. With all the bright lights and screaming fans, all I could think is, what would Beyoncé do? So, I took the stage and danced my way into $4,000 and a brand-new car. Sometimes it pays to tell a good story.
